“Shana Tova” – Rolling (literally!) into the new year!

Jew-Jitsu - IDF Training MelbourneHey, guys!

Great new development−the BJJ team has come up with a new idea for some extra BJJ training. We will now have an Open-Mats BJJ session every Sunday from 1.00 to 3.00 pm starting on 2 October 2011 (this Sunday!). So come on in and get your game on!

This open session is for everyone, from absolute beginners to black belts. Like everything else in our gym, it’s about leaving our egos at the door and being there for just one purpose—to train together and improve on our skills while having fun!

How is this different from Krav Club? Well, obviously, you’ll be working on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rather than Krav Maga. But you could’ve figured that one out. ;) Also, our very own brown belt Adam Same and purple belt Chris Burns (Bones) will be at all Open-Mats BJJ sessions for anyone who’d like some extra one-on-one tips and training. Adam and Chris will be joined by other high-level students as well, according to their availability. So Open-Mats BJJ will not only let you practice with your fellow members, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities for personal attention if you’d like.

Want to hear the best part? If you have a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu membership (or “The Works”), then this weekly training session is absolutely FREE. Otherwise it will only cost the normal casual gym access fee of $9 (or the discounted $79 for 10 sessions).

P.S.—For those of you who have not yet booked your tickets to Roy Elghanayan’s (Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga master) workshops, then get in quickly as they are almost fully booked!!

P.P.S.—Keep in mind that IDF Training will be closed from Wednesday 28 September through Friday 30 September for Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year). So until we return in a few days, we’d like to wish you “Shana tova u’metuka”−a happy, healthy, and sweet New Year to you and your family!
